In the international industry of material handling, lift trucks play a major role for transporting industrial goods. Initially innovated as industrial vehicles during the 1930s in the United States of America, forklifts gained recognition following World War II in the 1940s. Becoming an efficient and reliable means to material handling solutions, the need and practicality of these equipment spread globally.
First established as Toyo Carrier Manufacturing Company Limited, in the year 1949, the company was later renamed Toyo Umpanki Co. before becoming recognized as the TCM Corporation. Started by Mr. N. Niwa manufactured Japan's very first lift truck. Throughout the years, TCM forklifts have become an international leader in forklift manufacturing and have built a solid reputation in the trade. TCM started constructing forklift manufacturing locations outside of Japan in the 1980s and is currently engaged in forklift manufacturer at three foreign factories in the United States, Europe and China.
With more than 50 years of accumulated technology and expertise, TCM has been proudly manufacturing several models of industrial lift trucks, making their models known all over the globe.
